One of my favourite cakes, it was a dream come true doing this cake. I was part fashion designer, part cake decorator. I would really love to do this in a series, you know…. Marie Antoinette in different hairstyles and ballgowns!
I’ve always found it easier to create cakes or cupcakes for the girls so when it came to creating some Father’s Day cupcakes, I must admit I was a little nervous. Here’s my take on some musculine cupcakes for the boys….
Made this cake for the daughter of my very good friend, Su-Anne. Su-Anne was one of the first few friends I made when I went to Secondary school and we’ve been firm friends ever since. She was also my bridemaid when I got married. To make this cake all the more special , I hid an added surprise in the top tier….a rainbow cake.
When I heard what theme was, I just had to do these cupcakes. I grew up watching Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, I even had the Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker toys. To top it off, I wanted to marry Han Solo!
It was a pleasure to be part of Elliot’s N Nautical Themed Party, everything was so perfectly put together. Mummy Elaine did all the coordinated printables, the location was also beautifully decked out in nautical themed decorations. Come have a look at the delightful photos of the party.
