Luscious lemon cake

Luscious lemon cake… Just the sound of it makes my mouth water. The lemons on top are made from marzipan and the leaves from sugarpaste.

Christmas cake

Christmas! Tis the season of giving! Nothing spells festivities and celebration more than a decorated Christmas cake. I love Christmas. It’s  that time of the year when our entire family gets together. Parents and siblings, aunties and uncles, cousins and their kids, it’s a real mad house. But then we all need some madness sometimes…

My brother, Darryl is a great photographer. He runs his own photography business. For his birthday, I wanted to make a cake that was really unexpected. I got a picture of a camera off his noticeboard and set about trying to replicate it as best I could.

As you can see my photography skills are not very good. I need to get some tips from him….

Baby cake

Baby cake 2

This cake was made for my friend’s baby shower. She was expecting her 3rd child and all of us girl pals  felt that “to have more than two, she deserves a celebration”! The square cake was for the mother to be and the mini circular cakes were for her guest to take home.
