Nightmare Before Christmas Cake June 17, 2011

My latest creation. As I’m also a Tim Burton fan, collecting all his movie DVDs , I was really excited to create this cake. Watched the movie DVD countless times to get inspiration for the design of the cake. Decided on a pumpkin shaped cake, afterall Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. What is a creepy cake without a creepy tree with snarly finger-like branches… so included a creepy tree ( totally edible ,made of rice krispy treats) with the Killer Wreath, one of Jack’s not so successful attempts at spreading the Christmas cheer!

Wonderful World of Disney

My younger daughter loves Disneyland so I created this Wonderful World of Disney Cake for her birthday. The hardest part of creating this cake was moulding the characters in secret so she couldn’t sneak a peek! A fun cake to create, found myself humming the theme songs from each movie as I created the figurines. Disney really does bring out the kid in all of us!

This cake was made for a surprise poker -themed birthday party. I first made a cake for Jaime’s daughter, Emma for her 1st birthday. This time Jaime was planning a surprise party for her husband’s 31st birthday.

Straights!

31st Birthday!

Been a little busy lately so haven’t been able to update with new pics.

This cake was made for a friend of mine who ordered it as a birthday surprise for a gentle but spunky ex-colleague .
